Job Description:
As a Sporting Coordinator, you will oversee the operational and sporting coordination of the Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) and support the organisation and development of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). You will play a key role in the strategic evolution of both championships and contribute to FIA rallying worldwide, reporting to the WRC Category Manager.
Responsibilities include:
1. Sporting coordination – WRC:
o Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders (ASNs, organisers, WRC consultants)
o Manage championship registrations and monitor event registrations
o Oversee accreditation and ensure document compliance
o Propose improvements for quality and visibility
2. Event support – JWRC (max 6 events/year):
o Serve as FIA Championship coordinator during JWRC events
o Assess on-site conditions and services
o Provide post-event reports
o Coordinate with stakeholders: ASNs, promoters, organisers, competitors, officials
3. Delegate coordination:
o Communicate with FIA delegates and consultants
4. Reporting:
o Collect reports from FIA officials
o Support governance and regulatory processes
o Assist in WRC Commission meetings
o Draft and follow-up on sporting regulations
o Organize FIA seminars and officials’ summit
5. Championship calendar management:
o Review calendar applications from ASNs
6. Communication and website coordination:
o Update championship info on fia.com
o Maintain current standings and classifications
7. Profile:
o University degree, preferably in Sports Management or related field
o Strong rallying knowledge
o Experience as co-driver, team coordinator, or event organiser is an asset
o Familiarity with FIA regulations
o Fluency in English; French or Spanish is a plus
o Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
o Excellent communication skills and stakeholder interaction
o Organized, detail-oriented, proactive team player
