Overview
We currently have vacancies for Support Care Workers for a supporting living service at our beautiful site - Stricklands Care Village, Bangor (West). We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting independent living and show a commitment to the mental and physical wellbeing of people who use our care and support service. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the well-being and independence of those we serve, ensuring they receive the best possible assistance tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities
* To promote independent living skills and assist with all aspects of personal care including, washing, personal hygiene, dressing, assisting with meals, personal finances and the administration of medication, whilst ensuring dignity and respect are maintained at all times .
* To show commitment to the mental and physical wellbeing of people who use our care and support service by helping them participate in activities or hobbies of interest to them. This will ensure positive outcomes for the individual.
* To work together in a supportive partnership with families and significant others to ensure that the people who use our care and support service have their needs identified and met.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes efficiently.

Requirements
* GCSE English and Maths at grade C (or equivalent).
* Level 2 Qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a supporting living setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual client needs.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
