Position: HEALTHCARE AND PHARMA TEAM LEADER Location: Heathrow Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday About the position: To provide a support layer between Healthcare Operations and the Operations Manager to maintain and improve the Healthcare Operations for both Imports and Exports. To Develop Best Practices and stream line processes, liaising with staff and other department Managers to maximise profitability, return on capital employed while ensuring the achievement of the Company’s business objectives. The Healthcare Team Leader is responsible for the overseeing as well as arranging and receiving of all import / export consignments on behalf of both internal and external customers in the most efficient and cost effective manner whilst achieving the required service levels. Dealing with all documentation and liaising with Hellmann Partners and our customers whilst being responsible for providing excellent customer service. The Healthcare Team Leader is also responsible for leading their respective team and communicating with all internal functions. Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include: Responsible for the optimisation of business processes to reduce cost and increase productivity through constant review Responsible for providing accurate weekly financial reports to the UK Head of Airfreight & London Heathrow Operations Manager within the required time frame Developing effective relationships and negotiating with carriers and overseas agents Entering HM Customs entry procedures (NES) and ensure MUCR’s are closed prior to delivery. Ensuring accurate data is processed in Hellogic/CW1 such as billing and operational functions. Supporting the Sales/Product team with the most efficient and cost effective way of transporting goods. Cost reconciliation. Accruals and cost accuracy. Accuracy and timelines of documentation (AWB/DUCR/MUCR) processing meets KPI requirements. Ensure optimum service is provided by our Vendors and Suppliers. To support jointly with the HWL Commercial team a sales plan and target account platform for key accounts. To develop and maintain personal expertise in operational systems and processes. To represent the Company in a positive and professional manner, ensuring that the corporate DNA and family values are adhered to at all times Operations Excellence Support RFQs and tenders with operational input. Support business development opportunities and implementation of new customer on a local level. Ensure adherence to relevant LSH industry standards (GDP, TCR) Manage deviation handling and CAPA process. Oversee execution operational tasks such as order management for temperature-controlled packaging and route risk assessments Product Ownership Establish and strengthen relationships with local pharma logistics partners such as cross docking, trucking, and packaging vendors. Support and collaborate with the regional healthcare team Quality & Compliance Continuously improve the quality of Hellmann's Healthcare Service Offering locally. About you: The ideal candidate will be educated in Maths and English (oral and written) to GCSE, Standard Grade or equivalent; to demonstrate highly competent computer skills in all areas of Microsoft office. We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate customer service excellence and effective communication skills. Candidates who have up to three years experience in Freight Forwarding industry, handling healthcare shipments and supporting CAPA processes would be most desirable.
