This role is working 4 days a week, (some flexibility in hours is available), 39 weeks per year during school term time and INSET plus 6 weeks holiday to be taken during school closure periods.

About the role:
As an Occupational Therapist at Arc Oakbridge School, you will be an integral part of our team who put children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will be working with pupils across the primary and secondary areas of the school, supporting the assessment, diagnosis and implementation of strategies to improve educational outcomes of children with communication needs. You will manage your own caseload and be expected to work flexibly, providing therapy services to pupils according to clinical need. You will be expected to participate actively in multi-disciplinary meetings, staff meetings, supervision, training and annual appraisals.
About you:
For this role, we are looking for an OT who has a Dip COT, BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy together with HCPC and BAOT registration and previous experience of working in a special school setting, a CAMHS service or who have paediatric experience. Ideally you will have sensory integration experience or would be willing to further develop your knowledge via further study. For more experienced candidates there will be a significant focus on working with staff and offering training to staff in the school to create a therapeutic ethos across the whole curriculum that will benefit all of the children.
