Due to a recent promotion an exciting opportunity has arisen to specialise in paediatric orthotics within the experienced and motivated paediatric orthotic service team.

The Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow provides excellent clinical facilities and a child-friendly environment with adjacent maternity and adult services.
On site specialist Paediatric Rehabilitation Technicians and technical facilities provide manufacturing and alteration support for the Paediatric Orthotist, giving optimum working environment for excellent delivery of clinical care. The service covers local, regional, national and specialist services.
Essential requirements for the role include a degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or equivalent qualification, HCPC registration, experience in paediatrics, proficient rectification ability, an ability to manage your own caseload, problem solving, innovation, educating, ongoing learning, compassion and family relational skills.
You should have good interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant experience includes Upper limb trauma, CP, Spinal, Chest Wall, Ponseti, Craniofacial and KAFO/HKAFO/RGO management.
This is a permanent post with 22.5 hours a week; these hours will be worked Monday to Friday from 0830 - 1630, or as a 0730 - 1730 compressed.
