Job Description
Our client is an international manufacturing and materials processing organisation with multiple sites across the UK. This position will focus on their manufacturing facilities in the North of England—Cheshire and Yorkshire—where you will be responsible for all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements across five manufacturing plants.
Within this role, you will oversee both the strategic development and pragmatic application of HSEQ processes and systems. You will influence and engage with key stakeholders across the business, from operations and site leadership teams to production operatives.

The role involves developing the company-wide HSEQ strategy to ensure legislative compliance and fostering a positive HSEQ culture. You will create and implement policies that are actively integrated into the organisation through systematic and strategic cultural change. Engaging with teams and stakeholders, you will work collaboratively to develop pragmatic health and safety solutions, promoting a culture of ownership across the organisation by winning hearts and minds.
Key requirements for SHEQ Coordinator:
* Experience managing and setting HSEQ strategy within heavy industrial manufacturing, engineering, or environmental sectors
* Ability to operate strategically and tactically, providing hands-on support in H&S activities, including supporting sites with RAMS and SOPs
* Strong H&S knowledge, supported by NEBOSH certificate or higher qualification, or an equivalent in Health and Safety
* Experience developing, implementing, and continuously improving management systems aligned with ISO standards such as OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, etc.
* Experience creating and executing improvement plans for H&S activities
* Multi-site experience is desirable but not essential
* Experience working within an industrial, preferably heavy industry environment
* Full UK driving license
