Overview
John Ray Junior and Infant Schools are looking for a Premises Manager. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 52 weeks a year, across two neighbouring school sites, reporting to the Headteachers and supported by the Trust Head of Estates. The role is based at John Ray Infant School and involves ensuring our school environments are safe, secure, clean, and run smoothly for everyone. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, plus annual leave. Salary is on the Essex pay scale 7, points 19 to 24.

Responsibilities include managing and leading across Maintenance & Operations, Compliance & Risk Management, Health & Safety, Financial Management and Procurement, and supporting Sustainability Initiatives and other Ad-hoc Project work. You may be required to work outside standard hours for projects, emergencies, or school events to ensure our schools are always running perfectly.

Qualifications and Requirements
* Full UK driving Licence
* Experience in delivering and managing both hard and soft services, building services and asset management
* Solid working knowledge of Health and Safety
* Ability to work independently with excellent organisational and communication skills
* Comfort with IT and attention to detail, with pride in how our schools look and feel
* Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
* Some maintenance experience (decorating, plumbing, carpentry) would be an asset
