JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN TUTOR Location: South East England, Berkshire, Reading Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time hours Salary: £20 - £35 Per hour Primary Industry: Education and Training Secondary Industry: Education and Training Job Duties: The SEN Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored academic support to students with special educational needs. Duties include creating individualised learning plans, delivering engaging lessons, monitoring progress, and adapting teaching methods to suit the needs of each student. Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience working with students with special educational needs Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring students with special educational needs Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to develop and implement personalised learning plans Knowledge of SEN legislation and best practises Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs Experience in working with children with autism spectrum disorders Working Conditions: The SEN Tutor will work part-time hours on a temporary basis. The role may involve travelling to students' homes or educational institutions to provide support. Flexible working hours may be required to accommodate students' schedules.
