Job Description Job title: Development Engineer – GCAP Working Pattern: Full time Working location: Bristol / Hybrid (3 days per week in the office) What you will be doing As a Development Engineer supporting the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), you will play a critical role in ensuring that physical test assets – engines and rig tests – are accurately defined to generate meaningful development data. This data supports vital understanding of product performance, safety, and compliance with regulatory and programme requirements. You will become a key enabler in the definition and delivery of development hardware across our future air defence platforms, with opportunities to build subject matter expertise in enterprise IT systems and test programme strategy. Responsibilities You’ll be: Defining and managing physical test asset hardware configurations in support of development and certification objectives Translating experiment requirements into detailed vehicle specifications and Bills of Material Collaborating with engineering, procurement, and operations to ensure hardware requirements are fully aligned and delivered on time Forecasting and managing stock levels to support future test demand Becoming a subject matter expert in enterprise engineering systems such as Teamcenter, SAP, and Mendix Why Rolls-Royce?
