Our client is a small but growing manufacturing business seeking a hands-on Production Manager to take ownership of their production operations. This is an opportunity for a current line leader or supervisor to take the next step in their career.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in driving efficiency, quality, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and coordinate all day-to-day production activities
2. Plan and schedule workloads across operatives and machinery
3. Work hands-on within the production team, including operating machinery
4. Oversee stock control, purchasing, and supplier coordination
5. Ensure high standards of health & safety and provide staff training
6. Maintain and improve quality control systems
7. Plan preventative and reactive maintenance
8. Coordinate transport and logistics
Requirements:
9. Proven experience in a manufacturing/production environment
10. Hands-on experience setting and running machinery
11. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
12. Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with suppliers and customers
13. Self-motivated and able to work independently
14. IT literate
Working Hours
15. Monday- Friday, 7.30am- 4.30pm
