Overview
Expleo has an exciting opportunity for experienced Stress Engineers / Analysts. Based in Expleo offices, you will be assigned to a major new defence project, where your skills and experience in Structural Analysis / FEA will be fully utilized.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities within your role will include (but not limited to):
* Interfacing with UK-based teams to understand technical issues, specifications, and requirements.
* Undertaking Finite Element Analysis simulations using Abaqus CAE of marine structural seats, brackets, and bolts.
* Working with the customer to determine solutions for failed simulations.
* Writing analysis reports.
* Producing quality work while adhering to project budgets, time constraints, and accommodating changing requirements.
* Applying correct processes, specifications, procedures, and techniques, working with support from specialist teams.
Qualifications
* HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering.
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Essential Skills
* FEA Modelling.
* Abaqus CAE.
* MathCAD (beneficial but not essential).
* Microsoft Office Skills.
Experience
* Minimum of 5 years experience in stress analysis.
* Marine engineering experience is desirable.
