Engineering Team Leader
Location: Barton-upon-Humber, UK
Salary: £41,500 – £43,500 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:30
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Engineering Team Leader to join our expanding operation in Barton-upon-Humber. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a team of engineers, ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standard and supporting the wider business with a proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of engineers, ensuring daily tasks are prioritised and completed efficiently.
* Plan and schedule repairs, maintenance, and improvement works for production machinery and associated equipment.
* Ensure all equipment breakdowns are addressed promptly and accurately recorded in the Shire (CMMS) system.
* Maintain compliance across the department, ensuring all plant and machinery are safe, operational, and legally compliant.
* Take responsibility for delivering the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programme within your designated area.
* Support the Engineering Manager and Engineering Supervisor with machinery upgrades and improvement initiatives.
* Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the business, providing regular updates and feedback where necessary.
You must ensure that you have read, understood, and adhere to all relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures, as outlined in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
About You
Essential:
* HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* A proven track record of delivering results and leading engineering teams.
* Self-motivated, organised, and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Proficient in using computer-based systems.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the woodworking or FMCG sectors.
* Familiarity with CMMS systems such as Shire
