The Vacancy
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire. Gilbert Place is a Retirement Living Plus development with 65 apartments, created in 2021 to support residents aged 70 and over, with on-site facilities and landscaped grounds.
Role details: McCarthy Stone are recruiting a professional Care Assistant to join the team at our prestigious Gilbert Place development in Swindon, Wiltshire. Hourly rate: £12.39 per hour, plus up to an additional £1.30 for evening and weekend hours. Hours: 20 per week.

About the role
As a Care Assistant you will provide the highest quality of individual care to residents, enabling them to live well in later life. You will deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the estate, including apartment cleans. Duties are varied and include supporting residents to take part in activities that support health and wellbeing, helping with appointments, arranging transport, escorting visits where necessary, and assisting with shopping. Each day will be diverse, and you will use your people skills to make a real difference.
About You
* You will be a warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience in a care or support environment.
* You will have a passion for the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoy working as part of a team in a busy setting.
* You will be driven to deliver excellent customer service.
* You will want to work in Health and Social Care and preferably hold a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification; consideration given to candidates with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
