Overview
PCCR Digital is a strategic digital capability within the Home Office, supporting our stakeholders in Passports, Citizenship and Civil Registration (PCCR). We run over 30 services which enable secure, scalable and modern staff and public-facing applications. The team operates within the Migration and Borders Technology Portfolio (MBTP) and is part of Home Office Digital.
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst in PCCR Digital to maintain and support service improvement of our applications, in alignment with Home Office Digital (HoD) standards and organisational strategy. You will be part of the Platforms, Business Intelligence, Infrastructure & Integration (PBI3) product family. This product family enables passport, civil registration and identity operations. We provide foundational capabilities including business intelligence, platforms and infrastructure and integration with 3rd party suppliers and other government departments. As a BA in the PBI3 product family, you will work with a friendly team of civil servants and managed services. You will undertake stakeholder engagement to understand business drivers, objectives and pain points, create epics and user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritisation, and advocate for the user within the delivery team to improve live services.

What You’ll Do
* Investigate operational and business needs and problems and assist in recommending service improvement and business solutions.
* Understand and define the problem to be solved and ensure strategic decision-making supports business outcomes as well as user needs.
* Elicit, analyse and validate business requirements and user needs, as well as business strategy problems, in the most appropriate and effective manner and format.
* Collaborate with other professions within the delivery scope to embed the Business Analysis role and value in a project and multidisciplinary team.
* Plan and lead large areas of Business Analysis delivery, owning the challenge and driving through to conclusions.
* Create acceptance criteria (often utilising Behavioural Driven Development) to enable proper testing of new services.
* Model processes/procedures using established techniques with understanding of their purpose and importance.
* Produce periodic performance measures to inform stakeholders and drive discussion around the required service.

Additional Information
* This role requires SC clearance. To meet national security vetting requirements, you must typically have been resident in the UK for at least five years. We cannot sponsor visas.
