Job Duties:
1. Assist in the educational and social development of students with special educational needs (SEN)
2. Support the classroom teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet individual needs
3. Provide one-to-one or small group support to SEN students in various subjects
4. Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
5. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
Required Qualifications:
6. Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
7. Relevant SEN qualification or experience
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education:
GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working with SEN students
Knowledge and Skills:
10. Understanding of SEN support strategies
11. Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs
12. Strong organisational skills
13. Empathy and patience when working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
14. Higher-level teaching assistant qualification
15. First aid certification
Working Conditions:
