Purpose: To undertake basic work, performing routine duties in accordance with detailed procedures and instructions.
Entry Criteria: New starters with no experience (either direct with Herman Miller or via our partner agency). Basic understanding of numeracy and literacy is expected. Training on processes will be provided.
Responsibilities & Job Duties
* Able to work in a primary area with supervision and training
* Operating simple machinery or equipment in accordance with instructions
* Carrying out routine assembly tasks
* Carrying out routine manual tasks
* Providing parts for assembly
* Delivering a quality product to the next step in the process
* Completing tasks safely and to agreed quality standards within Takt time
* Passing on details of completed work
Expected Behaviours In All Areas
* Readily accepts new tasks and direction
* Undertakes minor problem solving within remit of work duties
* Identifies and draws attention to non-standard problems and issues
* Works well with colleagues
* Demonstrates good team working skills
* Always achieves a good level of output
* Demonstrates a high standard of housekeeping
* Makes effective use of time and demonstrates good timekeeping
* Does not take excessive breaks
* Always shows respect to colleagues at all levels, including peers and management
