What You Will Be Doing
* Map how data flows across the organisation—from where it’s captured to how it’s transferred and transformed across different domains.
* Lead on building and maintaining the data catalogue and data dictionary, support the Data Protection Officer, and strengthen data management practices.
* Work closely with architects in agile feature teams to support data movement, migration, and integration needs.
* Create key documentation (like IFDDs) to keep data flows auditable and transparent.
* Build data quality pipelines and toolchains, working with data stewards and owners to proactively address issues.
* Contribute to governance forums (e.g., Owners Committee and Stewards Forum) to embed good data practice across the organisation.
* Support governance processes, policies, and standards to keep data reliable, accessible, and impactful.
About You
* Solid grounding in relational databases, SQL, and data integration; confident designing data models using UML and entity-relationship concepts.
* Familiar with cloud-native technologies (ideally AWS) and understand data movement in complex, hybrid environments.
* Hands-on with Python and open-source tools; comfortable with JSON and XML formats.
* Collaborative in agile teams, able to translate technical detail into clear, useful outputs; willing to roll up your sleeves when needed.
