An established organisation is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join its finance team at Head Office. The position has be available due to the planned departure of a long-standing team member after many years of service. To support continuity and knowledge transfer, the successful candidate will join as soon as possible and receive a structured handover, including a shadowing period.Key Responsibilities
1. Managing the end‑to‑end credit control process
2. Monitoring customer accounts and outstanding balances
3. Chasing overdue payments and resolving account queries
4. Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date financial records
5. Producing reports and reconciliations, primarily using Excel
6. Liaising with internal teams to support effective cash‑flow management
Skills & Experience Required
7. Proven experience in a Credit Controller position
8. Very strong Excel skills (essential)
9. Ability to independently manage credit control processes
10. Experience using financial/accounting systems (Sage X3 or similar preferred)
11. High attention to detail with strongmunication skills
Working Hours & Flexibility
12. 30 hours per week
13. 4‑day working week (Monday–Thursday)
14. hours per day
15. Some flexibility available around start and finish times
Hybrid / Remote Working
16. The first month will be office‑based to allow for training and shadowing
17. After the initial month, the role will be predominantly working from home
18. Office attendance required on Tuesdays only
Training & Onboarding
19. Minimum 3‑week shadowing period with the current post‑holder
20. Full office attendance is required during the training and handover period.
Salary & Package
21. £23,000 – £24,000 per annum (based on a 30‑hour working week)
