Job summary
BEH and Camden and Islington Foundation Trust have now merged to form North London NHS Foundation Trust. We collaborate within the North Central London integrated care board (ICB) and with general practitioners (GPs) to ensure comprehensive transformation of care for residents in the boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Islington. Main duties of the job
We seek an enthusiastic, skilled, approachable, and motivated specialty doctor to join the Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey CAMHS division. The role involves managing care for young people in North Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a staff grade interested in working within a well-established, multidisciplinary community CAMHS team.
This is a newly created post to meet the increased demand for CAMHS services in Haringey. Successful performance could lead to a permanent role. The job description has been submitted for Royal College approval.

Job description
Job responsibilities
The appointed person will be encouraged to develop their interests and pursue research in collaboration with the UCL CAMHS research unit led by Professor Argyris Stringaris. Participation in QI projects and initiation of new projects are supported. The post supports the Trust's transformation of CAMHS services using THRIVE principles, aiming to deliver effective, compassionate care to young people in Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey.
All new doctors will receive mentoring from experienced consultants. The postholder will be invited to join the local Consultant CPD/Peer support group and encouraged to pursue the CESR route toward consultancy.
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential): MBBS or equivalent
Desirable: Higher degree in medical education, research, or management; additional clinical qualifications
Eligibility (Essential): GMC registration with a license to practice, inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months, approved clinician status or ability to achieve within 3 months, Section 12 approval or ability to achieve within 3 months
Desirable: Good standing with GMC regarding warnings or conditions
Clinical Skills & Knowledge (Essential): Excellent specialty knowledge, clinical skills, communication skills, ability to manage complexity, evidence-based decision-making, compliance with MHA and MCA
Desirable: Wide range of specialist/sub-specialist NHS experience
Academic & Lifelong Learning (Essential): Ability to teach, work in a team, collaborate for improvement, appraise evidence
Desirable: Experience in teaching, CPD, clinical audit, leading service improvements
IT Skills (Essential): Basic computer skills, email, internet use
Desirable: Data management experience
