Job description
Our client, a leading retailer, is currently seeking a Service Transition Lead to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the successful transition of new and changing services into the operational environment
* Developing and executing service transition plans in line with IT Service Management best practices
* Collaborating with project managers, service managers, and support teams to ensure smooth transitions
* Managing stakeholder communication and expectations throughout the transition process
* Ensuring all necessary documentation and training materials are developed and delivered
* Identifying and mitigating risks associated with service transitions
* Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of service transition activities
* Providing continuous improvement recommendations for service transition processes
Job Requirements:
* Experience in IT Service Management, particularly within a retail environment
* Strong understanding of service transition methodologies and best practices
* Proven ability to manage and lead service transition activities
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* High level of proficiency in developing and executing transition plans
* Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
* Relevant IT qualifications or certifications, such as ITIL, are highly desirable
