Role Overview
An exciting internal vacancy has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join our growing, friendly team at Niftylift! The role is based at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Shenley Wood, Milton Keynes.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the delivery of the company's reliability-based maintenance strategy, using preventive, predictive, proactive, and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will work directly with the Maintenance Team Leader and Production Engineering Manager to deliver a reliable preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance program, along with ensuring all company buildings, assets, and equipment are readily available for use when required.

Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshooting, repair and replacement of the company buildings, assets, and equipment to a world-class standard;
* Deliver the periodic and preventive maintenance schedule, ensuring that emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support are readily available as needed;
* Support the creation of a critically centred preventative and proactive maintenance regime;
* Maintain equipment information and service files;
* Spare parts management, data entry, and procurement;
* Assist other maintenance personnel with equipment repairs and research with a teamwork approach;
* Coordination and ownership of sub-contract staff including monitoring of work quality and health and safety documentation;
* Participate in plant safety, health & environmental programs;
* Compliance with health and safety standards;
* Working at heights, hot works, and confined spaces;
* Support all aspects of facilities maintenance;
* Work as a team to achieve customer quality, delivery, cost, and innovation requirements;
* Remove and categorise all waste into correct waste streams;
* Responsible for the department 5s standards;
* Active involvement in out-of-hours requirements.
Previous Experience
Required
* Engineering / Maintenance background;
* Understanding of mechanical assets;
* Basic fault-finding and diagnostic skills;
* Strong health & safety awareness;
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documents;
* Must be able to communicate with staff and sub-contractors at a technical level;
* Proven planning and organisational skills;
* Driving License.
Desirable
* Engineering experience;
* Basic electrical and pneumatic experience.

Working Hours & Salary
* Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:30, Monday - Friday (40 basic hours per week).
* Mandatory structured overtime depending on business requirements.
* Guaranteed hourly starting rate: £13.67 per hour (rising to a maximum of £15.54 per hour once signed off at specific skill levels).
* Additional Weekly Bonus: approximately £75 - £100 per week (for ref. only), guaranteed at a minimum of £50 per week, payable when all qualifying criteria are met.
* Overtime: paid at a premium rate (x1.5 or x2.0 depending on hours worked).
* Annual Bonus: £500 per annum (for ref. only, based on recent average).
