A growing offshore practice in Jersey is looking to strengthen its Banking & Finance team with the addition of a junior to mid-level associate. The team forms part of a broader international platform and works closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions, advising on cross-border transactions for an established global client base. You will work alongside partners and senior lawyers on a range of instructions, with responsibility for discrete work streams, supporting the delivery of clear, commercially focused advice while developing your own client relationships and technical capability. The work includes: Advising on a range of banking and finance transactions, including bilateral and syndicated lending Drafting and negotiating Jersey law finance documents and related transaction materials Supporting cross-border deals in collaboration with onshore counsel and international teams Assisting with transaction management and coordinating closing processes Maintaining direct client contact and contributing to efficient delivery of matters Supporting know-how initiatives and contributing to internal knowledge development Candidate criteria includes: England & Wales or Jersey qualified 1–4 years’ post-qualification experience in banking & finance Experience gained at a recognised onshore, international or offshore firm Strong technical grounding with a commercial and pragmatic approach Organised and capable of managing competing deadlines effectively Confident communicator with a proactive mindset The role offers a clear development pathway within a well-supported team, alongside exposure to high-quality international work and clients.
