Overview
Newport Pagnell Medical Centre is looking to welcome an experienced nurse to lead the Integrated Clinical team on a part-time basis for 25 hours per week. In addition to your lead nurse role, you will undertake one clinical session per week with colleagues.
We seek a candidate with strong clinical and management skills and an interest in service development and delivery sustainability.
Job Responsibilities
The role involves supporting the team to provide effective, efficient, patient-centred care in the primary care setting. You will lead infection control in the practice and be responsible for managing the non-medical prescribing team. The role includes leading the Integrated Nursing Team within the practice and working with the wider community health teams as part of the practice.

Newport Pagnell Medical Centre is a large GP training practice committed to excellent primary health care services with a strong emphasis on staff training and development. Based in excellent premises, our teams deliver a wide range of general medical services. We are a large training practice with another surgery in the Willen area. The practice nursing team is part of our integrated nursing team, working alongside community nursing, community matrons, urgent care, and specialist nursing teams.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
* A relevant nursing degree.
* Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
Experience (Essential)
* Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing and wound care, and recording spirometry.
* Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of patients, relatives and carers, as well as colleagues at the practice.
* Knowledge and experience of supporting long-term conditions.
* Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
