We're working with a leading UK manufacturer based in Wareham to find a skilled Quality Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent role supporting defence and aerospace projects.
You'll play a key part in ensuring product quality, maintaining the QMS, and driving improvements across the business. This role is perfect for someone with a strong quality background in engineering or manufacturing.
Salary: From £45,000 per year
Hours:
* Monday-Thursday: 8am-5pm
* Friday: 8am-2pm
* Full-time, on-site
Requirements: You must be a sole UK passport holder (no dual nationality) and eligible for security clearance. Support will be provided for the vetting process.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
* Inspect products and approve quality sign-off
* Lead non-conformance and root cause investigations
* Support First Article Inspections (FAIRs) to AS9102 standards
* Work with engineering drawings and GD&T
* Report on quality performance and drive continuous improvement
* Create and manage inspection documents and plans
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with AS9100 standards
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
* Confident with quality inspections, reporting, and problem-solving
* Experience with root cause analysis and quality tools
* Proactive, independent, and team-oriented
Desirable but not essential:
* Experience with composites or aerospace
* CMM, PolyWorks, or laser tracker knowledge
* Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement background
