Backend JavaScript Developer (Vanilla JS / TypeScript) – Fully Remote – Permanent – £40,000 - £70,000 DOE + Benefits – Sports Media & Online Publishing
We are working with a successful and growing sports media and online publishing company that is expanding its digital platforms. They are looking for a talented Backend JavaScript / TypeScript Developer to join their small, collaborative team and work on a number of greenfield projects with high visibility across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established brand in the sports media space, where your work will directly shape how millions of fans consume digital content.
What you’ll be working on:
1. Developing backend systems using Vanilla JavaScript and TypeScript
2. Building a brand-new video streaming player from scratch
3. Delivering multiple greenfield projects across publishing and digital media
4. Working in a small, agile, cross-functional team with lots of influence on technical decisions
What we’re looking for:
5. Strong server-side JavaScript (Vanilla JS) skills
6. Solid experience with TypeScript
7. Knowledge of build tools such as Gulp (or similar)
8. Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3
9. Previous experience in online publishing, video players, or media environments is highly desirable
