Assistant Company Secretary
Purpose of Role: The Assistant Company Secretary plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and compliance of the company. You will support Complex Changes, Board and Committee Support, and assist with Subsidiary Governance. This role is integral to maintaining effective corporate governance and ensuring the company meets all legal and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Board and Committee Support: Service PLC Board and Committees, including evaluations, appointments, and AGM management. Ensure the timely creation of committee packs.
* Regulatory Compliance: Support and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the UK Corporate Governance Code, Companies Act 2006, and other relevant regulations for a UK publicly listed company.
* Publicly Listed Company Announcements: Assist with the Stock Exchange Announcement process via the London Stock Exchange's Regulatory News Service, including drafting, approval, and release of announcements in accordance with regulations.
* Safety First: Demonstrate a 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors, supporting the development of a world-class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
* Deep knowledge of UK corporate governance, listing rules, regulatory requirements, Companies Act 2006, and company secretarial practices.
* Qualified lawyer or extensive experience in the company secretarial function. Holding a Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) diploma is highly desirable. Experience in a listed UK company, especially FTSE, is a plus.
* Commercially aware, highly organized, capable of prioritizing tasks, working under pressure, and paying close attention to detail.
