The Middle Officer produces daily P&L, exposure and pricing reports as well as supports the desk by running cargo economics, scenarios and optimization solutions.

Tasks:
* Responsible for the reporting of daily P&L, position and pricing related to the LNG desk.
* Daily marking of the LNG curves, discussions with the desk may be necessary for prompt positions.
* Keep up to date with market information in order to build an independent view of price levels and market dynamics.
* Assist the desk with cargo economics, running scenarios and optimisations.
* Check physical trades and complex or structured trades are correctly booked and valued.
* Communicate P&L and positions effectively to management and FO.
* Running and understanding of external models for complex deal structures.
* Independently monitor P&L and positions to ensure the system reflects a true value.
* Monitor risk related limits.
* Develop and maintain tools that exist in addressing queries related to P&L and Position i.e. P&L explain.
* Write and keep up to date documentation detailing complex and structured deals.
* Write and keep up to date documentation detailing MO processes and procedures.
* Maintain MO tools.
* On an annual basis assist external auditors and their reconciliations.
* Work closely with IT to maintain, develop and test the ETRM system.
Qualifications:
* 3+ years’ experience working in an LNG/Gas Risk/Middle Office function
* Strong understanding of physical markets
* Strong IT skills in excel & SQL
* Knowledge of the following a plus: Accounting and Financial reporting / LNG and Shipping physical operations / Other functions in an energy or commodity trading company e.g. Trade finance, credit, treasury, compliance etc. / Oil & Gas markets / ETRM / CTRM systems.
* Bachelor’s degree and or Masters, in a science, mathematical, engineering, accounting or economist discipline.
