Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join our culinary team on a full-time or part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
* Manage food production processes, including portion control and presentation
* Oversee food safety practices, maintaining hygiene standards in line with regulations
* Assist in menu planning and development to enhance customer satisfaction
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
* Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
* Supervising experience within a culinary or hospitality setting
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Excellent team management and leadership skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail
* Experience in food production and restaurant service is desirable
* Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
* Passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in the hospitality industry
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £16.00-£17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week
