Job Description:
The overall purpose of a hospitality manager/duty manager is to ensure the seamless execution of exceptional guest experiences during events and functions hosted at the venue. Responsible for overseeing various aspects of hospitality, the manager plays a pivotal role in coordinating and optimising services to meet and exceed guest expectations. This includes managing catering and dining services, ensuring high-quality food and beverage offerings, and maintaining the overall ambiance of hospitality areas. The manager collaborates with teams such as catering staff, event planners, and facility personnel to guarantee that all aspects align with Levy standards and event requirements. Additionally, they focus on customer satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly, and seeking ways to enhance the guest experience. A hospitality manager at Aston Villa acts as a key link between the venue and its patrons, contributing to the success of the events.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with event planners, internal teams to understand requirements, develop hospitality plans, and coordinate with departments for seamless event execution.
2. Staff Management and Leadership: Lead and motivate hospitality staff, conduct team meetings, provide training, and foster a positive work environment.
3. Catering and Food & Beverage Services: Oversee catering, ensure high-quality offerings, and manage inventory to control costs.
4. Guest Experience Enhancement: Improve guest experience through attentive service, feedback management, and personalized solutions.
5. Budget Management: Develop and monitor budgets, control expenses, and report financials to management.
6. Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, develop protocols, and stay updated on regulations.
7. Technology Utilization: Use management software for planning, coordination, and tracking, including guest registration and feedback tools.
8. Client and Vendor Relations: Maintain relationships, act as main contact, stay informed on industry trends, and lead post-event reviews.
9. Flexibility and Crisis Management: Adapt to changing event dynamics, manage high-pressure situations, and implement contingency plans.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in hospitality or events management, with large-scale event handling skills.
* Background in catering operations, menu planning, and food quality control.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
* Strong leadership abilities, staff recruitment, and development experience.
* Organizational skills with attention to detail and project management proficiency.
* Customer-focused mindset and proactive service approach.
* Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, including food, beverage, and technology.
