About the Role
As a volunteer, you will help by:
* Identifying suitable locations for placing collection boxes in local shops and businesses
* Engaging with shop owners and staff to explain how the boxes support Guide Dogs
* Emptying the boxes every 3-6 months and banking the funds
* Keeping records of box locations and collection dates
* Deciding on relocating boxes if they are not collecting enough funds
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy meeting new people and engaging with their community. No prior experience is necessary, as full training and ongoing support are provided by Guide Dogs.
Additional Details
Volunteers need to be able to travel locally to place and collect boxes. Expenses for travel will be reimbursed upon submission of a expenses form. The role offers flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and can fit around your other commitments.
Requirements and Support
* Minimum age: 18
* Support and training provided, including induction and role-specific training
* A dedicated staff contact for ongoing support
Availability
Volunteer on any day of the week, at times that suit you.
