Mencap is looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our amazing team in Derry/Londonderry, where your role will have a lasting impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities.Expiry date: 18th May 2026What Youll Do: Support people with learning disabilities in their daily lives and routinesAssist with personal care and medication, including bathing and dressingHelp with finances and everyday tasks like shopping and bill paymentsEncourage independence and social inclusion by supporting community activities and groupsUse Positive Behaviour Support strategies to enhance quality of lifeBuild trusting, meaningful relationships based on empathy and respectWhat Were Looking For: A genuine passion for supporting othersExcellent communication skillsFlexibility to work a range of shifts including evenings, weekends, and overnightA positive, patient, and empathetic attitudeWillingness to register with NISCC and undergo an enhanced Access NI checkClean UK drivers license is required for this roleContract & Shift Details:3 x 37.5 full-time contract - various hours 1 x 23 part-time waken night contract Shifts:Day Shifts: 9.00am - 9.00pmNight Shifts: 9:00pm 9:00am (Rota prepared 4+ weeks in advance to support your work/life balance)Why Join Mencap?
