Job Description
We are seeking a skilled solicitor, (0–4 years PQE), to join our client’s award-winning Corporate team at their Bournemouth office, supported by colleagues in Winchester and Southampton. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player and play a key role in developing the corporate practice in Bournemouth, with a strong emphasis on transactional work.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the corporate team with a range of matters, including corporate agreements, shareholders agreements, joint ventures, share option schemes, family investment companies, family charters, and corporate reorganisations
Focus on transactional work, acting for serial acquirers, (often PE-backed with buy-and-build strategies), as well as corporate disposals
Coordinate due diligence input from other specialist teams
Prepare company secretarial documentation and make necessary filings
Manage your own caseload and collaborate with team members, depending on matter complexity
Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives to support the growth of the Bournemouth office
Stay up to date with legal developments and participate in regular technical training sessions
Candidate Profile
Some corporate experience is beneficial but not essential
Commercially minded with an interest in transactional corporate matters
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Collaborative, flexible, and proactive in approach
Able to take ownership and accountability for your work
