Apprenticeship Progress Facilitator - Fixed term until June 2026
An Apprenticeship Progress Facilitator at Hopwood Hall College is a vital professional dedicated to supporting the growth and development of apprentices. Reporting to Apprenticeship Managers, you will be responsible for conducting formal progress reviews, collaborating with our Work-Based Tutors & Lecturers for a caseload of apprentices. Progress Facilitators will set high standards and expectations for the Apprenticeship programme to support and achieve outstanding provision to further advance apprentices’ personal development, behaviour and attitudes to learning and work.
Key Responsibilities:
* To manage a specific caseload of apprentices to ensure successful completion of their apprenticeship.
* To follow Apprenticeship internal and external stipulated rules and quality requirements (for example Off-The-Job Training rules).
* To plan and carry out progress reviews (every 10-12 weeks) with apprentices on a 1:1 basis to monitor the progress of the apprenticeship.
* To monitor apprentice progress and achievement helping to remove barriers where possible.
* Work closely with the Pastoral and Safeguarding team to pass on any pastoral, welfare and safeguarding concerns.
* Identify, report, and assist where apprentices may require any additional learning support
* Provide first line support and effective signposting for apprentices and employers.
* Communicate with sector specialists to contextualise feedback and drive learner improvement.
* Build positive relationships with apprentices, offering a listening ear, empathy, and encouragement during times of stress or uncertainty.
* To track learners' attendance, engagement, and apprenticeship performance (including Functional Skills) to identify trends and patterns that may require intervention.
* To work closely with apprentices’ employers, parents/carers and other agencies where necessary
* To contribute to the planning and delivery of a wide and varied enrichment and apprentice voice programme.
* Maintain accurate and timely records on Onefile, Maytas and Pro-monitor as applicable.
* Attend monthly apprenticeship & curriculum review meetings, Apprentice At-Risk meetings and interventions.
* To holistically support apprentices to progress to Gateway and End-Point Assessment
* To attend CPD (Continuing Professional Development) sessions to support development, professional knowledge, skills and abilities
* Any other duties, of a similar level of responsibility, as may be required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
* Experience of working with young people
* Experience of developing and delivering thematic tutorials, training or activities
* Experience of presenting 1:1 and groups
* Experience of tracking and monitoring progress
* Specific knowledge and understanding of apprentice social and welfare issues
* An understanding and specialist knowledge of apprenticeships.
* Knowledge of issues facing apprentices
* Knowledge of safeguarding
* Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Office applications and willing to undertake training appropriate to role
