Description

As a Controllership Accountant - Property, you will combine your technical accounting knowledge with communication and prioritisation skills to ensure a strong control environment and accurate reporting of the Property P&L and Fixed Asset/Lease accounting. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Accounting for key lease and capital areas, managing a £10bn asset register, and providing accounting advisory to internal customers.
2. Monthly and annual reporting and forecasting of key asset and property-related lines.
3. Business partnering with multiple teams across finance and beyond.
4. Managing key control processes within the Controllership - Property team, including month-end and quarter-end processes, reconciliation review, and control framework execution.
5. Driving process improvements and efficiencies through digital tools and automation.
6. Participating in significant property transaction work.
7. Line management and coaching of junior colleagues.


Candidate Profile

You should be a Qualified Accountant with post-qualification experience (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA), capable of managing and prioritising workloads with strong attention to detail. Additionally, you should have:

* Ability to work independently, manage and prioritise competing tasks and deliverables.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and an eye for detail.
* Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP and digital analytics tools is desirable.
* Confidence in liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to think laterally and challenge the status quo to improve processes.
* Experience coaching junior colleagues.
