An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed theatre practitioner to work as part of the Christie NHS Foundation Trust in the Surgical Theatre team.
Overview
With a focus on developing, delivering, and managing education across the theatre department, the Theatre Educator will be primarily responsible for the teaching and learning of students and apprentices.
Responsibilities
* Support students and trainees in practice and ensure their learning objectives are met.
* Support theatre staff in mandatory and essential training for their role and development, including organising and facilitating medical device training and clinical skills assessments within the education team.
* Initiate and sustain new and innovative ways of working that facilitate developments in theatre practice.
Qualifications
* Excellent knowledge of practice education and current perioperative practice.
* Experienced mentor, supervisor or assessor.
* Operating Department Practitioner registered with the Health Professions Council (HCPC) or a NMC registered Nurse (Adult).
* Theatre experience essential; oncology experience desired.
* Excellent communication skills and IT skills essential.
