We are seeking a Sector Director to lead our growth strategy in the energy sector. This pivotal role will focus on building strong client relationships, securing new projects, and driving revenue growth through innovative solutions in EV, PV, and battery storage. What you’ll do: As Sector Director, you’ll be responsible for: Driving growth – Lead sales and business development for high value projects in EV charging, solar PV, and battery storage. Client leadership – Act as the strategic partner for major energy clients, building long term partnerships based on trust and delivery. New opportunities – Leverage your network to identify and secure new clients, contracts, and strategic growth areas. Cross-functional collaboration – Work closely with operations and project teams to ensure seamless mobilisation, excellent service delivery, and opportunities for innovation. Market insight – Monitor energy sector trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity to keep Ground Control ahead of the curve. Commercial management – Oversee negotiations, contract renewals, and variations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and profitability. Performance reporting – Track and report on key metrics to senior leadership, driving continuous improvement and revenue growth. What we’re looking for: Proven experience in business development and senior client management, ideally within EV, PV, or battery storage. Natural sales ability – able to open doors, build rapport, and negotiate at executive level. Strong commercial acumen with a focus on revenue growth and margin improvement. A data-driven mindset, using insight to inform strategy and decision-making. Adaptability, resilience, and confidence working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
