Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in the meal preparation process, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the head chef.
* Follow proper cooking techniques and presentation guidelines for all dishes served.
* Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation methods and safety protocols.
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation standards is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy setting.
