Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Plastic Extrusion Production Setter/Operator to join their busy manufacturing team.
The role involves operating and setting up extrusion and other production machinery to ensure smooth, efficient output with minimal downtime. You will also be cross-trained across different areas of the factory.
ESSENTIAL TO APPLY
Experience operating plastic extrusion or similar manufacturing machinery
Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
Basic computer literacy
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit (able to lift up to 25kg)
Keen to learn, cross-train, and progress within the company
Motivated, reliable, and proactive.
Extrusion and Machine Operation
Set up, start, operate, and shut down plastic extrusion machines safely and efficiently
Change dies and control material mixtures for each product
Check job specifications and ensure correct materials are used
Maintain stock levels to keep machines running continuously
Record production settings and parameters in the DLS system.
General Responsibilities
Support maintenance to keep machinery safe and efficient
Follow all Health & Safety and Quality Control procedures
Inspect products regularly, correcting any quality issues
Help improve processes and reduce waste
Keep work areas clean and well organised
Communicate clearly with management and team members
