THE C4 APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME
If you are looking for an opportunity to gain work experience and a qualification, then an apprenticeship at Channel 4 might be for you.
Our Apprenticeships are full-time, with four days per week spent working in a C4 department and one day per week completing the formal learning parts of the apprenticeship.
The formal training provided will consist of workshops, tutorials, webinars, coaching and in some cases residential boot camps. The training is dependent on the qualification your apprenticeship offers and will be explained in detail by the training provider before you officially begin the course. 2. You’ll need to have a Grade C (4) or above in Maths & English GCSE
3. You can’t have already completed the qualification being offered or similar at the same or higher level

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Channel 4 Digital Commissioning department commission all Original and Branded Entertainment shows across the Channel 4 social media portfolio. We work very closely with key people and departments within C4 including 4Studio and Linear Commissioning teams.
We are looking for a brilliant apprentice to assist with and learn all aspects of business admin for a busy commissioning department with many stakeholders, and also bring their energy and problem-solving ideas to the team. This could range from creating comprehensive viewing schedules for multiple shows, updating internal databases, managing processes, and keeping up to date minutes from team and decision-making meetings and even some diary and event management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
5. Assist the Programme Coordinator with arranging meetings, preparing rooms and greeting guests
6. Keeping meeting minutes from development and commissioning routines
7. Occasional diary management for Digital Commissioning Editors and Head of Department
8. Keeping track of Post Campaign Analysis (PCA) documents and workflow
9. Updating our internal system Monday.com
10. Storing treatments in our internal systems
11. Support the department with the production process as and when required
12. Assist with the production management process and commissioner viewing schedules
13. Liaise with other departments at Channel 4 including Compliance, Legal, Business Affairs and 4Studio where required.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

14. Verbal and written communication skills - Verbal - e.g. experience of dealing with customers or working as part of a team. Written – e.g. writing emails, completing an application form or essay, or if you have a hobby that involves creative writing.
15. Attention to detail - e.g. Cashing up on tills or proofreading coursework.
16. Organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks - e.g. Planning events whether personal or for professional purposes, as well as managing work life balance, for example working whilst doing coursework/exams.
17. An understanding of and a passion for Channel 4's and output
18. Confirm you have Maths & English GCSE Grade C (4) or above
19. Able to use your initiative to complete tasks and work independently when required
20. Computer literacy skills and ability to embrace new technology and systems
21. Able to make suggestions and come up with new ideas for admin processes
22. Passionate about social media
