Job Overview
Provide a Care at Home/Falls Response Service to vulnerable people in the community. The post holder will work as a Mobile Emergency Carer within the Home Care Associated Services Team of the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership.
Responsibilities
* Respond to community alarm calls.
* Use specialised lifting equipment and move equipment and people, such as hoists and wheelchairs.
* Assist fallen non‑injured clients in line with the Fife Falls guideline.
* Provide support and personal care for service users and their carers in accordance with assessed needs, using professional, sensitive and flexible methods.
* Work in accordance with National Care Standards and collaborate with health and social care partnership colleagues and partnership agencies.
Person Profile
* Current driving licence and willingness to drive council vehicles.
* SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards this qualification.
* Previous Care at Home experience.
* Awareness of the National Care Standards.
* Willingness to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of starting employment.
* Positive, caring attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical ability to undertake required tasks.
Additional Requirements
* Successful applicants will have three months to apply for SSSC registration.
* Applicants must start the registration process promptly to meet the six‑month deadline.
* Applicants will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before appointment.

* Contract Type: Permanent
* Salary: £26,786.83‑£29,170.80 (Pro‑Rata)
* Working Pattern: 28 hours per week – day, back, and night shifts on a 4 on 4 off rota.
* Location: Bankhead Central, Glenrothes
