Contract: Full time – 48 hours per week – Shift type: Nights. Salary: £13.52 per hour. Pension provided. Onsite parking, paid DBS and uniform included. 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full‑time contract). Our newly built care home is based in the charming suburb of Pinhoe, Exeter, offering exceptional standards of nursing, residential, dementia and respite care for 67 residents.

What You’ll Do
* Lead and coordinate the care team – ensuring smooth operation and a positive atmosphere.
* Support residents with dressing, bathing, toileting and mobility, prioritising dignity and independence.
* Administer medication, manage ordering, and maintain accurate records.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals and team members.
* Foster team ethos, respect diversity and maintain a supportive working environment.
* Welcome visitors and give prospective residents and families a tour of the home.
* Respond promptly to emergency call bells and provide or call for assistance as needed.

* Write and update care plans, risk assessments and case notes.
* Engage in staff meetings, training and e‑learning to develop professionally.
* Follow Health & Safety policies, including COSHH, and report concerns.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or actively working towards Level 3).
* Medication training: Practical Medication Administration with competency.
* Leadership skills: Ability to motivate, delegate and develop a team while maintaining support.
* Compassionate nature: Kind, caring, compassionate personality with a sense of fun and a commitment to person‑centred care.
