Job Summary
The Special Events Student Employee will play a key role in supporting the Office of Admissions during all large-scale prospective student events, both virtual and in-person. This position will assist the Coordinator for Events in executing an exceptional event experience, contributing to the success of our outreach efforts. The student employee may also be considered for involvement in additional events hosted by the Office of Admissions throughout the year.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to engage with prospective students and their families in a welcoming and informative manner. This is a dynamic position requiring flexibility, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to teamwork.
Essential Functions
* Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of large-scale prospective student events hosted by the Office of Admissions (virtual and in-person).
* Serve as an ambassador for the Office of Admissions, welcoming prospective students and families, providing information, and ensuring a positive experience.
* Support the Coordinator for Events in logistical planning, event coordination, and the overall management of prospective student events.
* Assist with additional event needs, including check-in, crowd management, and ensuring a smooth flow of activities.
* Participate in training and preparation sessions prior to events to ensure a thorough understanding of event protocols and expectations.
* Be available for additional special events, as needed, throughout the admissions cycle.
* Adhere to university policies and the Office of Admissions guidelines.
Work Hours:
This position will not exceed 20 hours per week.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

* Flexible schedule, particularly during major event periods.
