Overview
Due to continued growth we are recruiting Mechanical Engineers to join our Naval Engineering team. These roles will support the design and development of products, solutions and systems, including Turbine Design, Valves and Test Rigs. You may also contribute to technical improvements of existing products and components. The role offers opportunities in product design, system optimization, and solving complex mechanical challenges on real-world projects.
Responsibilities
* Develop and design mechanical components and systems (Valves or Test Rigs).
* Design for manufacture and assembly, ensuring the quality of design information supplied for manufacture.
* Prepare technical drawings and specifications using CAD software.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Engineering and Sourcing as well as external sources to reach decisions.
* Support prototyping, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during design, testing, or production.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production.
* Lead and execute design reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Proficiency in CAD software; CATIA V5 is advantageous but not essential.
* Experience and knowledge in designing Valves, particularly sizing of components for custom components (for one role).
* Experience in designing Test Rigs for rotating equipment would be highly advantageous (for the second role).
* Knowledge and appreciation of rotating equipment and rotordynamics is desirable.
