Overview
The Breast oncology team at St Bartholomew’s delivers comprehensive breast cancer care through a multidisciplinary team, combining surgical, clinical and medical oncology treatment pathways. This is an exciting opportunity to join the breast oncology team in a new role working across various aspects of the pathway. The successful postholder will be comfortable working with spreadsheets and data to ensure large volumes of patients receive seamless and well-coordinated care as they move through a complex breast pathway; from referrers outside of Barts Health, through to first appointment, surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and support the patient journey across the breast pathway, ensuring timely progression from referral through to first appointment, surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
* Work with clinical and administrative teams across cross-site settings, building relationships to ensure patients are ready for appointments and are not lost to follow up between services.
* Manage data and reporting to support large volumes of patients and improve pathway coordination.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience working in an NHS admin environment is expected.
* Clinical experience would be beneficial but not essential.
