We are now offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated school leaver, graduate or early career changer to begin a long-term career in civil engineering operations, with full training and mentoring provided.
Role Description
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone ready to build a career in project delivery. Working alongside experienced managers, suppliers, and subcontractors, you will help deliver projects safely, efficiently, and on time. All technical training will be fully provided— what matters most is your drive, willingness to learn, and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in coordinating daily project activities across drainage and infrastructure sites.
* Road space booking or review of road space availability.
* Support allocation of staff, equipment, and materials to ensure projects run smoothly.
* Communicate with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Support logistics planning, including travel, accommodation, and scheduling.
* Assist with checking site compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) requirements.
* Help collect site data, photos, and records to support operational reporting.
* Work alongside managers to track costs and budgets at a basic level.
* Learn to review documents such as risk assessments, method statements, and project schedules.
* Attend training courses to build knowledge in drainage surveys, civil engineering practices, and operational management.
What We Are Looking For
* Motivated individuals looking to build a career in civil engineering or project operations.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
* A proactive and positive attitude - willing to take responsibility and learn.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Good IT skills (Microsoft package: Outlook, Excel, etc.).
* Willingness to travel to sites as required and occasional overnight stays.
* Full UK driving licence is highly desirable (or commitment to obtain one).
