This role is ideal for a proactive individual seeking to develop their expertise in Personal Tax while working closely with knowledgeable Tax Partners and Managers. About the Role As a Personal Tax Senior, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, sole traders, partnerships, landlords, and company directors. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services, supporting junior team members, and identifying tax planning opportunities to enhance client outcomes. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tax returns Prepare and review Self-Assessment tax returns, covering income from property, investments, employment, and sole trades Provide advice on capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and other personal tax matters Liaise with HMRC on compliance issues and tax enquiries Identify tax planning opportunities and provide proactive advice to clients Support junior staff by reviewing their work and assisting in their development Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance across the client base What We’re Looking For Proven experience in personal tax, ideally within a UK accountancy practice ATT qualified or part-qualified, with support available to complete CTA Strong technical knowledge of Self-Assessment, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Proactive and commercially minded, with the ability to identify and act on tax planning opportunities Benefits Competitive salary, dependent on experience Full support for CTA qualification (if desired) Clear career progression within a growing and dynamic firm Friendly, collaborative, and supportive working environment Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance If you are an experienced Personal Tax Senior or Assistant Manager looking to take the next step in your career, this is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and forward-thinking practice.
