As a result of significant growth, Wood Transmission & Distribution Ltd UK is seeking an Environmental Lead to work on projects based in Inverness, Scotland, on a permanent, staff basis. Environmental experience within an Overhead Lines, Underground Cabling and Civils environment is preferable although not essential. This is a hybrid role that would suit someone based in the north of Scotland that is flexible to travel to project site.
Whilst the role is nominally based at one of the Company’s offices and includes home-working, the Environmental Lead is expected to undertake visits to the business’ facilities and worksite around Inverness, Scotland to, for example, provide support, carry out assurance activities and incident investigations, provide sickness / holiday cover, etc.

8. Previous experience in a technical environmental advisory role with experience in project / contracts in construction or similar industry
9. Excellent working knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and regulations
10. Established competence in permit management - application compilation, submission, and associated reporting.
11. Excellent technical writing skills.
12. Collating and interpreting environmental performance data.
13. Good planning and organisational skills.
14. On-site practical knowledge and experience
15. High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format.
