Primary Teaching Assistant – Mainstream School

* Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Join a busy and supportive mainstream primary school as a Primary Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, caring, and enjoys working with children, offering a great opportunity to play a key role in supporting their progress and development within the classroom.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Support the teacher with day-to-day classroom activities.
* Work with individuals and small groups to support learning.
* Assist pupils with reading, writing, and numeracy tasks.
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
* Help set up and maintain a safe and organised classroom environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience working with children in schools, clubs, or childcare settings.
* Enthusiastic, reliable, and approachable personality.
* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
* Proactive and willing to support across different year groups.
* Passion for helping children succeed.
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience in a primary school setting.
* Knowledge of phonics or early years learning.
* Relevant childcare or education qualification.
