Head of Digital, Data and Technology
North Tyneside Council is recruiting a new Head of Digital, Data and Technology. This is a critical appointment for the Authority: the successful candidate will be the Chief Information Officer, tasked with driving forward the Digital and Data Strategies and playing an integral part of the Plan for Change programme.
The DDAT team plays an important role in the borough, supporting both internal and external customers. Within the Authority, the Digital and Data Strategies are established, and delivering against these is crucial to making the organisation fit for the future from a digital perspective.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the DDAT service as Chief Information Officer.
* Drive forward the Digital and Data Strategies and participate in the Plan for Change programme.
* Report to a Director and the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with elected Members.
* Manage a team of around 120 professionals and oversee a significant revenue and capital budget.
* Collaborate with a range of professionals and elected Members on a collegiate basis.
Qualifications:
* Proven technical expertise and experience in digital and data strategy.
* Strong leadership experience managing large teams and complex budgets.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work collegially with a range of internal stakeholders including elected members.
