In this role, you’ll own the full product lifecycle — from initial concept and detailed design through prototyping, testing, and production. What you’ll be doing as a Mechanical Design Engineer :
* Designing and developing advanced electro‑mechanical products to meet specifications, budgets, and timelines
* Producing clear, accurate design documentation for manufacturing, assembly, and servicing
* Driving continuous improvement through design reviews and product optimisation
* Applying industry standards to ensure safety, compliance, and reliability
* Collaborating with production engineering and supply chain teams to take prototypes to full production
* Supporting quality and environmental management processes
* Researching and applying new technologies, materials, and design techniques
What we’re looking for as a Mechanical Design Engineer:
* Degree in Mechanical or Product Design Engineering
* At least 3 years’ experience in design engineering within a manufacturing environment
* Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and related CAD tools
* Knowledge of manufacturing techniques including CNC machining, sheet metal, injection moulding, casting, welding, coatings, and 3D printing
* Practical, hands‑on approach to solving engineering challenges
* Sharp attention to detail and drive to deliver high‑quality, reliable products
